This step has been taken at a time when India has dismissed China’s efforts to change the name of some places in Arunachal Pradesh. It has been said from India that such absurd efforts will not change this undisputed reality that it (Arunachal Pradesh) is “an integral part of India, and will remain”. This reaction from New Delhi came in response to Beijing’s announcement of Chinese names for some places in Arunachal Pradesh, which the neighboring country claims to be the southern part of Tibet.
