The airplane has a black box flight recording device, which helps to understand what happened during the flight after any accident. Let us tell you that its name is definitely a black box, but it is not black or blue but bright orange color, which makes it easy to find after the accident. It is prepared with quite strong material, which can keep it safe in any incident.
Why black box is installed
The black box is mainly used to investigate the accident. After the accident, experts help find out what went wrong by analyzing both mechanical data and pilot action. After the accident, the data is analyzed from the black box to update the airplane and related to it, so that accidents can be reduced.
There are two parts in the black box
First There is a flight data recorder (FDR), in which the aircraft records technical data from the system. It tracks things such as height, speed, engine performance, direction and flight control input.
Second There is a cockpit voice recorder (CVR), it records audio from the cockpit. It also records the interaction between the pilot and the pilot, radio communication and sound of ambient cockpits such as an alarm or switch etc.
Black box features
The black box is usually installed in the rear of the airplane, which leads to more likely to survive in the accident. In terms of durability, this extreme can affect and tolerate higher temperatures. It is a waterproof as well as covering in a protective material. Talking about the recording time, the CVR can usually store a 2 -hour audio. The FDR can store 25 hours or more flight data.
