Census 2027 self enumeration will be done by Citizens Govt to Launch Online Portal

The Government of India is going to do the 16th census in the country in 2027, which will be online for the first time. This means that citizens themselves will be able to fill their form. A separate web portal will be launched for its own calculation for the upcoming census. This portal will work for both phases of national calculations. Citizens will provide data using mobile applications through their Android and Apple iPhone in the country’s first digital census, which the calculators will collect. Let us know about it in detail.

16th census of India
It will be 16th and 8th census after independence since the start of the census process in the country. For which the government issued a gazette notification on 16 June. The Registrar of India has arranged for training on the basis of three -level main and need for each phase, including national trainer, master trainers and field trainers. For this big work, the field trainer will train about 34 lakh calculations and supervisors.

Citizens themselves will be able to fill the form
This is going to happen for the first time in the country that when citizens will get a chance to calculate themselves through a separate web portal. This will be available for both phase house listing and housing census (HL) and population calculation of the census. Digital census initiative is an attempt to make the census digital and modern. Technology will be used for the first time to collect data and send it to the central server electronically. This will make the census data available quickly.

The data of citizens will be safe
In this era of technology, online danger has increased considerably, so very strict data security rules will be implemented to ensure data security. Due to these, there will be no danger during collecting data, its transmission and storage. When will the census start
House Listing and Housing Census will start from April 1, 2026 and then Phase 2 will be started from February 1, 2027, with a population calculation (PE). In the upcoming census, the castes of family members will be counted. The 2027 census is expected to begin on March 1, 2027. At the same time, Union Territories will begin on October 1, 2026 in icy and inaccessible areas like Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
