If you are using iPhone, Macbook, iPad, Apple Watch or Apple TV, then this news is very important for you. The Cyber Agency of the Government of India, CERT-in, has warned of dangerous security flaws in several Apple products. These vulnerability are affecting iOS, iPados, Macos, Watchos, TVOS and Visionos, some of which are so serious that hackers can take full control of your device.
This warning is released on 4 August 2025 and “High severity“The rating is given. Meaning, if you have not yet updated your Apple device, the danger is standing at your door. Below we are giving some important details.
Which device is on danger?
According to Cert-in, these flaws have been found on the old version of all the Apple Systems given below: iPhone: Older version from iOS 18.6
- iPad: version before iPados 17.7.9 and 18.6
- Mac: Macos Sequoia 15.6, Sonoma 14.7.7, Ventura 13.7.7 before
- Apple Watch: Watchos 11.6 older version
- Apple tv: before tvos 18.6
- Vision Pro: Before Visionos 2.6
What can harm?
If the device is not updated, hackers taking advantage of these flaws:
- Can get access to your data
- Any app or code can run in your phone
- Can bypass security features
- Can crash or slow down the system (Denial of Service)
- Can gain control on your device
These flaws are due to problems like type confusion, memory overflow, logic error, input validation, which allow the apps to do wrong by manipulating the apps.
