Nirmala Sitharaman Called Meeting AMID India Pakistan Tension for Banking Insurance ATM UPI SERVICES

The tension between India and Pakistan is continuously increasing and both countries are moving towards war -like conditions. In such a situation, the Finance Ministry has already instructed the banks to keep their preparations complete. On Friday, Minister Nirmala Sitharaman instructed the banks to be fully prepared for the situation during an important meeting. The Finance Minister especially emphasized that bank customers should get banking facilities without any hassle. In this, emphasis was laid on providing ATM, cash and UPI related facilities continuously.

In this important meeting between India Pakistan tension, the Finance Minister also described cyber security as an important issue. The minister said that cyber security should also be sure in challenging times. Along with this, economic stability should also remain. On behalf of the ministry said (via) Gone is that preparations have to be made to deal with any adverse situation, whose banks will have to make the emergency protocol more better. Along with this, its tests should also be started.

Another important thing here was said that the safety of the family including bank branches in the border areas of India should also be taken care of. Apart from the top officials of banks and insurance companies, senior officials of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), RBI, IRDAI and NPCI were also present in this meeting.

Meanwhile, many other big banks including State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) said that their ATMs are working smoothly. ATMS has enough cash. Along with this, internet banking such as digital services of banks is also working smoothly. In fact, recently some fake news is being spread on social media that ATM may be closed in the coming days amidst India Pak tension. But such reports are not correct, and everyone needs to be careful.
